Human Destruction

This is a story I've written, about the way we humans destroy the earth. My mom thought it was a horrible story (not bad written, but with very sad content) but you might enjoy it... It's my opinion of the way things are, anyway... Note: it seems to be something wrong with the text, I just can't figure what to do with it...

When the very first morning was created, Nìmu the creature of light said to his wife Lïra;

'What shall we do about the shadows?'

For there were many shadows in the world they had created. Behind every tree, every bush and every mountain.

'Maybe we can create more suns, my dear husband,' Lïra suggested. Nìmu agreed. They needed at least one more sun, moving the opposite way from the other sun. And so it was that this small, round world got two suns instead of one, and it was called Liviar, which means Created Good. Nìmu and Lïra looked down on this small world, and they saw all the things that grew everywhere.

Nìmu was the father of the nature in the small world, and he watched over trees, mountains, the seas, the forests and the bare grasslands which covered most of this brilliant world.

Lïra was the mother of all living things at the planet, although there was none there yet.

'We will create a being called Unicorns' said Lïra, and so it happened. The unicorns were horses, shiny white and with a long, silvery tale and mane. They had eyes big as small apples, icy blue and deep as the ocean. The unicorns had knowledge beyond measure, and was wise and kind to all other creatures that was to make, but had not yet been made. Then Lïra created other beings to serve the unicorns. They were called dwarfs, and had long, silvery beard and were kind and helpful. The dwarves knew all there was to know about handwork, and made the unicorns great castles made up by trees and bushes, and they planted roses all over the castles. The pillars was covered in beautiful ornaments, that the dwarves had made. Lïra saw her work and was pleased. She was filled with inspiration and wanted to create more beautiful beings like the unicorns. Soon, the small world was filled with beautiful creatures of all kind; small and big birds, deers and cuddly rabbits ran across the grassy plains, colourful fishes and dolphins, whales and mermaids swam in the two seas, dwarves, fairies and roes filled the forests and enjoyed it.The world was perfect. The only thing that was missing, was creatures who could have a similarity to Lïra and Nìmu.

'Oh, dearest Nìmu, where can we find the inspiration and power to make such creatures?' Lïra begged her husband.

'I do not know, my love, but I will find it,' Nìmu answered. There was nothing he wouldn't do for his beautiful wife. Nìmu went out to search for the inspiration to crate a being similar to themselves. He searched for several years. One day he came across two male deer, fighting over a female. Nìmu stood quietly, watching the two fighting deer. They fought for long, until one of them, the weakest, surrendered. It bowed its forth legs and bowed its head to the ground, to show the winner that the female was his. The winner stood proudly, watching the loser surrender. Nìmu smiled, he knew these animals did not fight to kill. He was about to move on, when something happened. The winning deer did not walk away with the female as he should, but he attacked the loser while he was still at his knees! The loser deer screamed, and tried to run away as the winner pierced the loser with his horns. Twice he pierced him, before the loser deer lay dead on the ground. The warm blood floated over the grass and covered the stream nearby red. Nìmu knew he had to do something. This deer was not natural, it was evil, created by pure evil. As Nìmu approached the deer to kill it with his power, he wondered where such evil could come from. He and Lïra had created two suns, just for the simple reason there would be no shadows. Therefore, the deer could not have risen from shadows. Nìmu was only two meters from the mad deer, that still was piercing his rival. The female had run away long ago. Suddenly, the deer looked up, and as it stared into Nìmus eyes, Nìmu saw a fire, a hellish fire that he had never seen before. And he understood that this was the inspiration he needed to create the being Lïra wanted. He suddenly hesitated. For the first time in his life, he hesitated. Lïra was his wife. Should he please her, make her this being, made out of inspiration of death, or should he kill the deer and tell his wife he did not find the inspiration? Time stopped. The deer stood still, birds froze in mid-air as Nìmu stood there, in the middle of the forest, thinking of what to do. Finally, he decided to make the being. He lifted his hands, and a shower of gold and silver bubbled from his hands. The deer stood still as it knew what was about to happen. In a second the shower of gold was over, but the deer was changing. It grew to something new, something similar to Lïra and Nìmu.

Nìmu went back to Lïra, unsecure of whether his choice was right or wrong. But Lïra was overwhelmed.

'Thank you, my dearest' she said and watched the new being as it ran through the forests and found other of its kind that Nìmu had created on his way home.

'Are you sure you want this creature to stay?' Nìmu asked, hoping she would change her mind. Nìmu could feel that something was not right. But Lïra was thrilled by this new and exciting creature, and she made it her favourite among all the creatures of the planet. She made sure the creature had enough food and shelter, for they were more vulnerable than the others. But after a while, Lïra grew tired of these creatures walking on two feet. She began to take more notice to the others again.

This creature grew stronger day by day, and gathered together, multiplying like flies. The first thing they did when they grew strong enough, was to kill for food. Nìmu felt sad of what he saw, because he had created the world so that every creature should be safe from one another. They should not kill, lions should play with lambs and no creature should be more worth than another. He went to Lïra and tried to convince her that their creation was a failure, they had to kill them before they grew too strong to control.

'My dear, can't you see that they are no danger?' Lïra smiled, and she cast a spell over Nìmu, so he could not see the damage the creatures did.

The creatures were many, and they continued to kill animals. Soon, the lions and tigers, bears and wolves followed their example. Even the proud eagles became predators. Soon, the whole world was in an uprage. The only place where it was peace, where no animals hunted each other, none of Lïras creatures existed, was a small forest in the north. There, all the unicorns had gathered, and they cried silvery tears every time another animal was killed in the rest of the world. All the unicorns were crying, and they cried all the time. There was no stop to the killing that happened in the world. The creatures continued to multiply, and soon, they found the forest of the unicorns. And the killing started there as well. Exactly when the first unicorn was killed, Nìmu fell to the earth, his heart broken in pieces. He knew that the world was doomed, and there was nothing he could do to prevent it.

'I shall call these creatures Ûndori,' he said while breathing very heavily, 'it means "born by evil created evil.' Then Nìmu died, and left the dying world to itself.

This story happened thousands and thousands of years ago. Today, it exist no such things as dwarfs, unicorns or non-flesh eating lions or wolfs. There is no Nìmu or Lïra, they both died when the world was poisoned by this evil creature. The poisoning have never ended. It is happening right now. You may have guessed what we call this creature today, but Ill tell you anyway. It is a creature that still today is destroying all life. The destruction is slow, but still happening. The creature is using all the resources of nature. The creature still poison the air, poison the seas and destroying the forests. The creature is called Human Beings.

P.S. As always, there's something wrong with the text.
